My goal is to read 1,000 books in 5 years.
I know this may not be a challenge for a avid reader, but I am not. Over the last few years I have really lost my place in life. Not to sound depressing but I graduate Springboro High School, unknown to where I will go, what I will do and most importantly will I be happy? I LOVED high school. I loved waking up to friends, interesting classes, and the whole social order. But reality hit me like a brick. At graduation time I was both pregnant & my road map of life ended after summer break.Longer story, short is its almost three or four years after graduation & I am kinda in the same place. I completed two years of college but haven't worked towards a degree. Even thought I am a amazing mother, great fiance, due to be married in less than a year, a proud house owner (owing no mortgage), and paying off my car, so I am 100% debt free, I feel acceptionally unfulfilled.
So my challenge was inspired by the movie Julie & Julia. This was a movie staring Meryl Streep was Julia Childs & Amy Adams as Julie Powell a writer. The plot is one women attempts to cook all 542 recipes of Julia Childs "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in one year. This challenge was actually done by a blogger named Julie Powell in 2002. Her blog turned into a book, then a movie. I think her & I both have something in common.
The details of my challenge is this....
Read 1,000 books by September 19, 2017*This only includes teen books, young adult books & other more adult reading geners. This means that "Cat in the Hat" by Dr. Suess dosen't count.
I will uses this blog to create reviews over my reads & track my progress.
I will be using both the Amazon Kindle (Wi-Fi, 6" Display that was only $69) & the local library to find my books. If anyone has a suggestion for another read please leave a comment on any of my post.
My first book I have decided to reads
